Disney's Yacht Club Resort

The Beach Club's gray-shingled, slightly more grown-up twin — same EPCOT walk, same Stormalong Bay, steakhouse included.

Deluxe Resorts EPCOT area $550–$1,000/night

Opened: 1990
Rooms: ~630
Dining: 5 locations
Transport: Walk, Boat, Bus
Shares Stormalong Bay with Beach Club · Yachtsman Steakhouse · Quieter, more adult atmosphere · Crescent Lake marina · Convention facilities

The Yacht Club is the Beach Club's fraternal twin: same 1990 Robert A.M. Stern seaside complex on Crescent Lake, same five-to-seven-minute walk into EPCOT's back door, same access to Stormalong Bay's sand-bottom lagoon — but dressed in gray shingles, brass, and navy, with a marina out front and a noticeably calmer lobby. It draws a slightly older crowd and a steady convention trade, which in practice means quieter pools in the evening and easier lounge seating.

The dining anchor is Yachtsman Steakhouse, the resort steakhouse Disney regulars argue should count among the best signature meals on property; Ale & Compass handles a cozy New England tavern menu from breakfast through dinner, and its lounge pours an excellent nightcap. The Market at Ale & Compass covers grab-and-go, and Hurricane Hanna's sits between the twins at the pool.

Everything that makes the location elite applies equally here: walk to EPCOT for festival evenings, stroll or boat to Hollywood Studios, cross the lake to the BoardWalk's entertainment, and reach the Skyliner at International Gateway. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom remain bus rides.

Who it suits: couples and adults doing EPCOT-centric trips, steakhouse loyalists, and families who want Stormalong Bay without the Beach Club's slightly more sugared energy. If you need character dining inside your own lobby, the Beach Club's Cape May Cafe is a three-minute walk.
