Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's most immersive value resort — family suites for six, the Big Blue Pool, and a Skyliner ride to two parks.
Value Resorts EPCOT area $180–$520/night (suites)
Art of Animation is the value resort that behaves like a family-suite hotel: nearly 1,700 of its rooms are suites sleeping six, with two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a table that converts to a bed — the practical answer for families of five-plus who would otherwise need two rooms anywhere else on property. The remaining Little Mermaid standard rooms are the budget pick, with the longest walks to the lobby as the price of the price.
The theming commits harder than any value resort: you walk through sketch-to-screen courtyards of Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid, with character sculptures at full attraction quality — Radiator Springs' neon at night is a destination in itself. The Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool at Walt Disney World and plays movie audio through underwater speakers; the Cozy Cone pool's orange-cone cabanas cover the Cars side. Landscape of Flavors elevates food-court fare (the create-your-own pasta and Mongolian bowls have fans), and the Ink & Paint shop covers essentials.
It shares the Skyliner station with Pop Century across Hourglass Lake, so EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are gondola rides; Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom go by bus.
Who it suits: larger families and anyone whose kids would rather sleep inside their favorite movie than near a monorail. Couples without kids usually get better value at Pop across the lake.
