RopeDrop was built with one goal: help families and groups spend less time waiting in lines and more time making memories at Walt Disney World. Planning a Disney trip is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Between four theme parks, hundreds of attractions, dining reservations, Lightning Lane decisions, and group coordination, there's a lot to juggle.
We built RopeDrop to take the guesswork out of park planning. Our tools use real data and proven optimization techniques to help you make the most of every park day, whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned annual passholder.
Under the hood, RopeDrop uses the same type of route optimization algorithms used by logistics companies to plan efficient delivery routes. We adapted this technology for theme park planning: given your group's must-do rides, dining reservations, and time constraints, our optimizer finds the best order to visit everything while minimizing time spent walking and waiting.
Our walking time estimates come from a detailed map of actual park walkways, not just straight-line distances. This means the routes we suggest reflect the real paths you'll walk through the parks.
RopeDrop was created by a small team of theme park enthusiasts and software engineers who were frustrated by how hard it was to plan an efficient park day. After too many trips spent criss-crossing Magic Kingdom or missing dining reservations, we decided to build something better.
We're an independent project with no affiliation with The Walt Disney Company. All wait time data comes from publicly available sources, and our recommendations are based entirely on data analysis, not sponsorships or partnerships with Disney.
