The Riviera is the newest Disney Vacation Club flagship and the most grown-up of Disney's recent builds: a Mediterranean grand-hotel homage — Monaco by way of Imagineering — done in creams and blues, with espresso at Le Petit Café and original artwork of Mickey touring the Côte d'Azur. Every room is villa inventory, from the clever little Tower Studios for two up through grand villas with full kitchens and laundry, which also makes it one of the best cash bookings for families who want apartment-style space at an EPCOT-area address.

The transportation story is the Skyliner: the resort has its own station on the line, putting EPCOT's International Gateway and Hollywood Studios both within a scenic fifteen-minute gondola ride — two parks with zero buses. The headliner meal is Topolino's Terrace on the rooftop: a genuinely excellent prix-fixe character breakfast (Mickey and friends in artist costumes) that converts to a Riviera-inspired signature dinner with fireworks visible from both parks across the treeline. Primo Piatto handles quick service, and Bar Riva covers the pool deck.

Pools are relaxed rather than thrilling — the Riviera pool plus the S'il Vous Play splash zone for littles — in keeping with the resort's overall register: quiet luxury, morning espresso, evening apéritif.

Who it suits: couples, DVC-curious families wanting kitchens, Skyliner commuters, and Topolino's pilgrims. Thrill-pool families and theming maximalists may prefer the Crescent Lake originals.
