Disney's Pop Century Resort

Transport: Skyliner, Bus
Skyliner station (shared with Art of Animation) · Giant pop-culture icons by decade · Hippy Dippy feature pool · Everything POP food court · Hourglass Lake walking path

Pop Century is the value resort power users pick, for one structural reason: it shares the Skyliner station at the Generation Gap Bridge with Art of Animation, putting EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on a gondola line while you pay value-resort rates. Add the fully renovated rooms — among the freshest in the value tier, with queen beds and decent storage — and Pop punches a full category above its price.

The theming is giant-object Americana: 65-foot Big Wheels, eight-track tapes, and foosball figures sorted into decade courtyards from the '50s through the '90s, with the Hippy Dippy pool's flower-petal sprayers at the center. It's loud, cheerful, and genuinely fun for kids without trying to be a boutique hotel. Everything POP, the food court, runs from tie-dye cheesecake to a respectable burger, and the lakefront path around Hourglass Lake to Art of Animation makes a pleasant evening walk under the gondolas.

The trade-offs are the value-tier basics: bus rides (sometimes shared) to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, no table-service restaurant on site, and crowd volume that peaks at the food court during breakfast rush. But the Skyliner line means festival nights at EPCOT and rope-drop runs at the Studios skip all of it.

Who it suits: budget-conscious families and couples who still want a two-park gondola commute, solo trip veterans, and anyone allergic to paying deluxe prices for sleep they'll barely use.
