Disney World for Adults: The No-Kids Trip, Done Right
Lounges worth lingering in, dinners worth dressing for, and the festival calendar that turns EPCOT into the best food-and-drink destination in Florida.

Roughly a third of Disney World guests arrive without children, and the resort quietly caters to them: world-class cocktail bars, chef-driven tasting menus, wine walks around World Showcase, and parks that stay open late after the stroller crowd heads home. Here's the adult itinerary.
Ride What the Kids Can't
With no height-bar constraints, build your mornings around the headliners: Tron Lightcycle / Run and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track at EPCOT, Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. Two tools make this painless:
- Rope drop strategy — being in the first wave at park open is worth more than any paid skip-the-line product.
- Lightning Lane data — which passes actually save time on your dates, from real wait records.
Signature Dining: The Splurge List
Every restaurant below sits in Disney's top price tier (over $60 per adult) — these are the date-night tables, from Victoria & Albert's tasting menu to fireworks views at California Grill:

All 58 Bars & Lounges
The full catalog, from theme-park icons (Oga's Cantina, Nomad Lounge) to resort-bar crawl material (Trader Sam's Grog Grotto, Enchanted Rose, Belle Vue Lounge). Most lounges seat walk-ups — they're the adult answer to "everything's booked":
Drinking Around the World (Responsibly)
The classic adult EPCOT challenge: one drink in each of the 11 World Showcase pavilions. We built a full companion for it — pour-by-pavilion picks, pacing math, and food pairings — at Drinking Around the World.
The EPCOT Festival Calendar
EPCOT runs nearly year-round festivals with dozens of food-and-drink booths — the single best reason for adults to pick EPCOT days. Upcoming windows:

Own the Evenings
- After Hours events — separately ticketed nights with tiny crowds and walk-on headliners. Expensive, but three hours of After Hours beats a full day of summer crowds.
- Deluxe-resort evening hours — deluxe guests get extended evening hours on select nights; check the park hours calendar for Extended Evening dates.
- Close the parks. The last two hours mirror rope drop — waits collapse while everyone else watches fireworks. Pick one: see the show, or ride everything.
- Disney Springs late — bars and live music run past park close; no ticket needed.
- Resort-bar crawl — the monorail loop and Crescent Lake resorts hold some of the best bars on property. Pick a base from the resort comparison and drink your way home.
