When do cancellations usually appear?
Constantly — but the biggest wave hits 24 to 48 hours before the dining date, when Disney's cancellation fee cutoff pushes guests to drop reservations they can't use. An alert set a few days before your date has a surprisingly good hit rate even for the hardest restaurants.
What is the 60+10 day booking rule?
Disney dining reservations open 60 days before the dining date, and Disney resort guests can book up to 10 additional days beyond the 60-day mark — covering their whole stay at once.
