Park hopping at Disney World: how it works and when it's worth it
How to visit more than one park in a day, what it costs, and how to time it with each park's wait pattern.
A Park Hopper ticket lets you visit more than one Disney World park on the same day, and at Disney World you can hop at any time of day. It's worth it when you have 4 days or fewer, want a ride-heavy morning and a dinner or fireworks evening somewhere else, or are staying near EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. In Disney's published prices we've captured, a 1-day Park Hopper ticket costs $197–$301 before tax, against $119–$229 for a 1-park ticket. Average waits peak by park (Magic Kingdom at 12 PM; EPCOT at 11 AM; Hollywood Studios at 12 PM; Animal Kingdom at 11 AM in the last 90 days).

How park hopping works at Disney World
- A Park Hopper ticket adds the option to enter more than one theme park on the same day. You choose it when you buy tickets, at a higher price per day.
- At Disney World you can hop at any time of day, so you can start at one park and move to another whenever you're ready.
- Getting between parks takes time: the monorail links Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center) and EPCOT, the Skyliner links EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and buses connect everything else. Count on 30–60 minutes door to door.
What a Park Hopper costs

Hopping strategies that work
- Rides in the morning, atmosphere in the evening. Rope drop the park with your must-do rides, then hop to EPCOT's World Showcase for dinner or to Magic Kingdom for fireworks.
- Save a second visit, not a second day. Hopping back to a park for one or two rides you missed can replace a whole extra day.
- Hop along the transport lines. EPCOT to Hollywood Studios on the Skyliner and Magic Kingdom to EPCOT on the monorail are the quickest moves.
- Skip it when every day is a full day. With 5 or more park days and young kids who nap, the extra cost often goes unused.
