How Park Concierge works
Most Lightning Lane tools are fast grabbers. RopeDrop is a planner: it books and re-times your Lightning Lane Multi Pass around everything else you've booked — your dining reservations, your ticket type, and the time it takes to get from one park to another — so your whole day flows.
Setting it up
1. Link with Disney's Friends & Family
You never give us your password. Instead you generate a one-time 6-digit linking code in My Disney Experience and paste it in. Disney links our service account to yours as Friends & Family — the same feature families use to manage each other's plans. We can then see your Guest IDs and book Lightning Lanes for your party, and you can remove us at any time from your MDE Family & Friends list.
2. Rank your must-do rides
Add the attractions you care about, in priority order, for each park day. You choose the return-time window that works (or leave it open), and if your ticket includes Park Hopper you can let us stack Lightning Lanes in your afternoon park too.
What happens during your day
- It plans around your schedule. Because we import your itinerary, we don't book a Lightning Lane on top of your dining reservation, and on hopper days we account for the time it takes to travel between parks.
- It keeps improving your times. Holding a 6:00 pm return? We keep watching and swap it for an earlier one the moment it opens — automatically.
- It lines up your next ride. As soon as you're eligible for another selection, we grab your next priority so it's waiting for you.
- It works for your whole party. Book for everyone together, or pick specific people for a given ride. If a guest needs their own Multi Pass to be eligible, we tell you rather than skip them silently.
- You just get a ping. By default the concierge books and upgrades automatically and notifies you after — so you can stay off your phone and be present with your group.
Common questions
How does the Friends & Family connection work?
You generate a 6-digit linking code in My Disney Experience and paste it in. Our service account enters the same code in its own copy of MDE, and Disney links the two accounts as Friends & Family. We never see your password or payment details — only your Guest IDs, the same as any family member.
Why a 6-digit code instead of my password?
Disney's Terms of Use permit Friends and Family to book experiences for each other, and the linking-code flow is how Disney itself recommends letting someone manage your plans. Sharing a password would violate those terms.
Do you buy my Lightning Lanes for me?
No. You buy your tickets and Lightning Lane Multi Pass yourself in MDE. The concierge only books or upgrades selections on passes you already own — it never spends money on your behalf.
Can it get me sold-out rides, or more than I could book myself?
It automates exactly what you could do by hand — nothing more. Availability is controlled entirely by Disney; we improve your odds by watching continuously, but we can't guarantee any specific ride or time.
What if Disney changes its system?
Disney can update its systems at any time, which may pause or stop the concierge without notice. If that happens on a day you were covered, our downtime-credit policy applies.
How do I stop or disconnect it?
Two ways, and you can reconnect anytime. In RopeDrop, open the concierge setup and tap Disconnect — that stops us on our side immediately. To fully remove the connection on Disney's side, open My Disney Experience → My Family & Friends, find the RopeDrop service account, and Remove it — that instantly cuts off all access.
How do I reconnect after disconnecting?
First remove the RopeDrop service account from your My Disney Experience Family & Friends list if it's still there — Disney won't let you re-add a connection that already exists. Then opt in again in RopeDrop, generate a fresh linking code in MDE, and paste it back — the same steps as the first time.
