Planning your visit to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, means getting ready for adventure, especially if Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is on your list. Our goal is to equip you with the best tips for making the most of your time at this exciting land and throughout the resort.
Navigating Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure
Avengers Campus is an immersive land located within Disney California Adventure, bringing guests into the world of superheroes. While an exciting destination, it's helpful to be aware of some specific planning considerations.
Inside the Magic reported on 2026-10-10 that Avengers Campus suffers from a significant lack of shade and trees, which can make it "disgustingly hot" during warmer parts of the year and potentially not worth visiting when temperatures rise. This observation was echoed by Disney Fanatic on 2026-10-10, noting the recurring complaint about the lack of shade and trees, especially when compared to the previously sheltered A Bug's Land. Furthermore, Disney Fanatic reported on 2026-10-10 that fans have criticized Disney's decision to reduce the entertainment lineup within Avengers Campus, leading to fewer superhero appearances. To make the most of your visit, consider these tips.
Planning Your Visit to Avengers Campus
- Be Mindful of the Weather: Due to the reported lack of shade and trees, planning your visit during cooler times of the day or year might enhance your experience in Avengers Campus. If you visit when temperatures are high, plan for shorter stays in this area.
- Manage Entertainment Expectations: With reports of a reduced entertainment lineup, understand that the frequency of superhero appearances may be different from what some guests expect.
Understanding the environment of Avengers Campus can help you plan a more comfortable and enjoyable visit to this area within Disney California Adventure.

General Disneyland Resort Trip Planning Tips
Effective planning for your Disneyland Resort trip involves more than just park navigation; it includes travel, dining, and knowing what's happening around the resort. Here are some key tips for your overall experience.
Getting Around and Resort Amenities
- Consider Walking vs. Shuttles: For visitors staying closer to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, walking may eliminate shuttle fares and waiting times, as Inside the Magic reported on 2026-10-13. However, Disney Fanatic reported on 2026-10-13 that additional shuttle service coverage does not automatically guarantee a faster journey to the parks. Also, Inside the Magic reported on 2026-10-13 that the addition of more hotel stops to the Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle could potentially lead to longer travel times and increased vehicle crowding.
- Understand Shuttle Costs: If you opt for the Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle, Chip and Company reported on 2026-10-13 that a day pass costs $6 plus a small processing fee for adults, $4 plus a small processing fee for seniors, and $3.50 plus a small processing fee for children. Disney by Mark reported on 2026-10-12 that a small processing fee is added at checkout for adult, senior, and children's tickets.
- Dining in Disney California Adventure: MickeyBlog.com reported on 2026-10-12 that being hungry in Disney California Adventure is considered the "best problem to have," suggesting a wide array of dining options.
- Shopping at Off the Page: Disney by Mark reported on 2026-10-16 that Off the Page is a shop located within Disney's California Adventure park.
Attraction Updates at Disneyland Resort
- Future Attractions: Disney has confirmed that the Avatar project at Disney California Adventure, including a new Avatar boat ride, is still moving forward, as reported by Chip and Company on 2026-10-15. BlogMickey.com – Disney World News, Photos, and Info reported on 2026-10-15 that Imagineers stated the Avatar destination model shown at D23 Expo 2026 for Disney California Adventure represents only a portion of the planned land. Disney confirmed in 2023, and reiterated at D23 Expo 2026, that an Avatar experience is planned for Disney California Adventure, according to BlogMickey.com – Disney World News, Photos, and Info on 2026-10-15. This is distinct from Avengers Campus but part of future Disney California Adventure developments.
- Current Attractions at Disneyland Park: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Disneyland Park (located in Bayou Country) is a gentle attraction where you can revisit familiar scenes and songs, as reported by The DIS on 2026-10-15. Inside the Magic reported on 2026-10-15 that Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland added new visual and spoken warnings this summer that guests standing up during the ride risk having their entire party removed from the park. Guests should always follow ride instructions for their safety and the enjoyment of all.
